A police officer told KNO that a joint team of army including 19 RR and SOG cordoned off Dehruna area of Pulwama following specific information about the presence of some militants in the area. As such the joint team of forces intensified the searches towards the suspected spot, hiding militants opened fire leading to an encounter, he said When reports last came in, intermittent firing was going on.
